Package Inclusions

  • eLearning 8-12 hours (all your dive theory online)

  • 1 Pool dive

  • 2 Dives within the protected Fly Point - Halifax aquatic marine sanctuary or another local dive site

  • Air Fills and cylinder

  • Dive Club Membership

  • Certification eCard

 

What You will Learn

  • Help other divers

  • Fix minor gear issues

  • Use an emergency oxygen kit

 

Your course consists of three parts

  • After you book, you will receive login instructions for the online eLearning Rescue Course theory. These modules and quizzes need to be completed before you arrive and start your practical training.

  • A pool session to learn and practice rescue skills and techniques

  • Diving at Nelson Bay’s beautiful white sandy bays, including practical training at Fly Point - Halifax aquatic marine sanctuary, one of the most visited dive sites in NSW and other local dive sites.

 

Pre-requisites

  • Advanced Open Water Diver/Advanced Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)

  • EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months

  • Minimum of 12 years of age

  • Good physical health

  • Be fit to dive (see Medical Requirements)

 

Equipment

  • If you do not have your own equipment, simply add the rental equipment you require to the shopping cart.

  • Besides your basic scuba equipment (BCD, regulator, dive computer, cylinder, wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, boots, weights), you will need a:

    • Compass

    • Delayed Surface Marker Bouy (DSMB)

    • Pocket mask.

 

Medical Requirements

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

  • Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course.

  • Our staff are available to answer any questions you may have regarding the process of completing the form however we are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.
